We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant - GL & Reporting to join our dynamic team. This role plays a crucial part in overseeing BEYOND's financial records, ensuring accuracy in reporting, compliance with relevant accounting standards, and supporting strategic decision-making through insightful financial analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, external auditors, and various internal departments to ensure that all accounting practices align with local and international regulations.
The responsibilities of the Senior GL & Reporting Accountant include coordinating and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, evaluating journal entries for compliance with company policies and accounting standards, analyzing month-end and year-end closing processes for accurate reporting, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, developing financial reporting templates to meet internal policies and external requirements, assisting in preparing financial statements following IFRS and local GAAP guidelines, ensuring compliance with tax laws and corporate policies, preparing for external audits by liaising with auditors, reviewing VAT returns and other regulatory filings as needed. Additionally, this role involves facilitating budget development in collaboration with project managers and department heads, monitoring budget variances for insights on corrective actions, forecasting cash flows for financial optimization strategies implementation of internal controls for asset safeguarding.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance along with 3-5 years of experience in GL & Reporting. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA or CFA are highly desirable. Proficiency in accounting software like SAP or Oracle ERP systems is required along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical abilities attention to detail are essential qualities for this role.
