As the Group Chief Financial Officer, you will play a critical role in the financial management and strategic decision-making processes of the organization. We are seeking a highly qualified professional with ACCA or CPA qualifications and proven experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with the overall corporate objectives of the group.
Provide financial guidance and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors.
Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic initiatives and identify growth opportunities.
Drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across all business units and subsidiaries.
Mergers and Acquisitions:
Lead and oversee all aspects of the mergers and acquisitions activities within the group.
Identify potential acquisition targets and assess their financial viability and strategic fit.
Conduct due diligence processes, including financial analysis, valuation, and risk assessment.
Develop and execute integration plans to ensure successful post-acquisition integration and synergies.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and other financial disclosures.
Implement and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard the company's assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to address financial compliance matters.
Treasury and Risk Management:
Manage the company's cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements.
Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial risks.
Monitor financial markets and assess the potential impact of economic factors on the group's financial performance.
Optimize the capital structure and financing arrangements to support business growth and expansion.
Leadership and Team Management:
Provide strong leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Recruit, train, and develop finance professionals to build a high-performing team.
Set performance targets and provide regular feedback to ensure individual and team growth.
Foster effective communication and collaboration across departments and subsidiaries within the retail group.
Qualifications and Skills:
ACCA or CPA qualification is mandatory.
Extensive Retail Industry experience
Extensive experience in finance leadership roles
Proven track record in leading and executing mergers and acquisitions.
Strong financial analysis, modeling, and valuation skills.
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
