As a Senior Accountant at Calvin James Recruitment, you will play a pivotal role in leading key accounting processes and overseeing a team of Assistant GL Accountants. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing and consolidating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, managing prepayments, accruals, intercompany reconciliations, and ensuring VAT compliance in the UAE & KSA. Additionally, you will support forecasting, financial planning, SEC filings, accurate VAT treatment on sales invoices, Withholding Tax & e-Invoicing for KSA, audit requests handling, and statutory account preparation. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing Assistant GL Accountants to drive continuous improvement within the team.
We are looking for a qualified or near-qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong experience in financial reporting, VAT compliance, and balance sheet reconciliation. The ideal candidate should have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines. Strong analytical skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset are essential for success in this role. Experience with Blackline, Sage X3, and government portals is considered advantageous.
