Senior Accountant

Our client, a reputable company based in Dubai, is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. As the General Ledger & Reporting Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the company's financial records with precision and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your responsibilities will include overseeing month-end and year-end closings, preparing financial statements, and conducting various reporting activities.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the general ledger by reviewing and posting journal entries, developing financial reports, and performing detailed analysis to ensure accuracy. Additionally, you will lead the month-end and year-end close processes to guarantee all transactions are recorded promptly and correctly. You will also be tasked with reconciling key accounts such as cash and intercompany while analyzing any variances that may arise.

Furthermore, you will be involved in preparing accruals, prepayments, and other necessary accounting adjustments as required. It will be your responsibility to maintain a fixed asset register by recording asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation accurately and in a timely manner. Additionally, you will play a vital role in the record-to-report process by preparing financial statements for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and Joint Ventures (JVs).

As the ideal candidate for this position, you must ensure that all financial transactions and reports adhere to accounting standards while assisting in the development and implementation of internal controls to protect the company's assets. Moreover, you will support both external and internal audits by preparing schedules and providing relevant financial information when needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA or ACCA certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles
