Chief Accountant

Our client, a leading Dubai Free Zone holding company specializing in real estate across the EMENA region, is seeking a Chief Accountant to join their team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a skilled Financial Manager/Accountant to oversee and enhance the financial and tax functions of the company within a dynamic and rapidly evolving business landscape. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in accounting, finance, and taxation across multiple jurisdictions, with proficiency in IFRS and tax systems in the UAE and EU.

The Chief Accountant will be responsible for various key areas within the organization. They will work with capital, securities, shares, units, and other financial instruments while demonstrating expertise in investment companies, family offices, holding or management companies, and funds. Additionally, they must have a strong grasp of managing financial processes across different jurisdictions and practical experience with cross-border transactions and tax planning on an international scale (UAE, EU, HK).

In terms of budgeting, the Chief Accountant will develop budgets, financial models, and calculations while preparing monthly "Plan vs Actual" reports for P&L and Cash Flow. They will also be tasked with treasury duties such as opening and managing bank accounts, maintaining the "Register of Invoices and Payments," inputting payments using online banking systems, responding to bank payment inquiries, and collecting necessary documentation. Furthermore, they will develop and implement accounting and tax policies to ensure compliance with regulations.
