As the CFO, you will be responsible for leading financial strategy, risk management, capital planning, compliance, and reporting in various regulatory environments. Working closely with country CEOs and senior leadership, you will drive financial sustainability by optimizing multi-currency operations and enhancing efficiency in emerging markets. Your key responsibilities will include developing and executing financial strategies, advising the CEO and Board on long-term financial planning, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, optimizing costs while ensuring compliance with regulations.
Additionally, you will oversee capital and liquidity management by securing funding, managing investor relations, and optimizing capital structures. Ensuring regulatory compliance and mitigating risks will be another critical aspect of your role as you strengthen governance frameworks and implement risk management strategies. You will also lead financial reporting efforts by overseeing statements, enhancing systems, managing treasury functions including tax and payroll. Building and mentoring a high-performing finance team across multiple locations will be essential to ensure operational excellence.
The ideal candidate for this position should have a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics with certifications such as CPA, ACCA or CIMA preferred. With over 10 years of experience in financial leadership roles within the financial services industry and consumer lending sector; expertise in emerging markets particularly Sub-Saharan Africa would be advantageous. Strong technical skills including knowledge of IFRS, GAAP principles; proficiency in financial modeling tools; ERP systems along with proven leadership abilities to effectively communicate with stakeholders are essential for success in this role.
