The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record in manufacturing, production management, and team leadership. You should possess strong organizational skills and be able to coordinate effectively with various teams including Quality Control (QC), material controllers, and subcontractors. Your responsibilities will include reviewing project requirements, developing detailed production schedules based on order specifications and capacity constraints, ensuring adherence to quality standards throughout the production process, and coordinating with subcontractors for timely execution of tasks.
As our Production Manager, you will be responsible for tracking daily progress of production activities, identifying any deviations from set limits, and promptly informing the Engineering Manager for resolution. Additionally, you will work closely with the production foreman and QC team to ensure that quality control measures are followed diligently on the shop floor. Coordinating subcontracting items such as dished ends, rolling, NDT testing, heat treatment, and painting will also fall under your purview. You will need to ensure that all subcontractor work is expedited efficiently and delivered on schedule while managing free-issue materials appropriately.
