As the Director of Operations, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our CNC machine shop by developing and implementing operational strategies to drive efficiency and enhance production performance. You will be responsible for overseeing production planning, scheduling, workflow optimization, and capacity planning to maximize throughput and reduce lead times. Additionally, you will champion continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing principles and Kaizen methodologies to eliminate waste and enhance productivity.
In this executive role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and executive leadership to align production objectives with business goals. You will also be responsible for talent development by leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing operations team. Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, quality standards (AS9100, ISO 9001), workplace safety requirements, and driving advancements in CNC machining technologies will also be key aspects of your role.
If you have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field (Master’s preferred) along with 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations focusing on CNC machining in aerospace, defense or semiconductor industries; expertise in lean manufacturing principles; strong leadership skills; knowledge of supply chain management; ERP/MRP systems; advanced manufacturing technologies; problem-solving abilities; strategic planning skills; familiarity with industry regulations such as AS9100 and ISO 9001 - then we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity as our Director of Operations.
