Our company, Confidential, a leading firm in the United Arab Emirates, is seeking a Financial Controller to join our team. We are committed to driving financial governance in line with company standards and ensuring operational excellence. As the key Finance Partner to the General Manager, this role plays a critical part in supporting revenue-generating activities, optimizing costs, enhancing cash flow, and providing actionable financial insights for strategic alignment.
The ideal candidate will coordinate with Finance Shared Services to ensure appropriate accounting transaction services are delivered according to agreed Service Level Agreements. Additionally, preparing annual audited financial statements in accordance with Group Accounting Standards and coordinating with external auditors will be key responsibilities. Collaborating with Group Accounting and Group Treasury for funding requirements and ensuring compliance with policies is crucial.
Furthermore, the Financial Controller will provide strategic input into business plans, prepare financial plans/budgets reflecting defined objectives, and conduct periodic financial forecasts. Implementing internal controls to protect assets, identifying corrective actions for adverse performance, reviewing capital expenditure plans for returns on investment are also essential tasks. Advice on cost management under different categories and supply chain management for inventory levels optimization will be part of daily operations.
We are looking for candidates with expertise in ERP Oracle and MS Office, along with experience in reporting tools like Power BI/Hyperion. Strong communication skills at all levels and exemplary financial management abilities are highly desired. A minimum of 10 years' finance experience including 8 post-qualification years is required, preferably 5 years in a supervisory role within industries such as Oil & Gas/Energy or related fields like petrochemicals/chemicals or manufacturing.
