We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant/Financial Accountant who is fluent in Arabic to join our finance team in the UAE on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial records, ensuring accurate reconciliation, preparing financial reports, and assisting with month-end closing activities.
As a General Accountant/Financial Accountant at Confidential, your key responsibilities will include performing bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial transactions, processing bank statements and reconciling discrepancies, assisting in the month-end and year-end closing process for timely reporting, preparing and analyzing financial reports such as profit & loss statements and balance sheets, maintaining general ledger accounts with proper documentation, reviewing and reconciling accounts payable and receivable transactions, assisting in budget preparation and variance analysis, ensuring compliance with UAE financial regulations and accounting standards, working closely with auditors during internal and external audits, as well as supporting management with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.
To be successful in this role, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience. Strong proficiency in reconciliation processes, bank statements handling, month-end closing activities is required. Additionally, advanced skills in accounting software (e.g., SAP or QuickBooks), MS Excel proficiency for analytical tasks are essential. Knowledge of IFRS and UAE tax regulations is preferred along with excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities are also key requirements.
