As a Logistics Manager/Assistant Manager at our company, you will be responsible for supervising and leading a team that handles all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics operations, including warehousing, inventory management, and transportation. You will develop strategies to optimize logistics processes, ensure compliance with customs regulations, and drive operational efficiency through innovation and technology. Your role will involve close coordination with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate risks and maintain high levels of performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Supervision and Leadership:
- Oversee the logistics team handling inbound and outbound operations.
- Assign goals, delegate tasks, conduct performance reviews.
- Monitor performance to meet operational targets effectively.
Logistics Operations:
- Supervise warehousing, inventory management, transportation processes.
- Monitor goods movement for timely delivery and SLA adherence.
- Oversee customs clearance activities for regulatory compliance.
Customs and Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated on customs regulations changes.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping standards.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders for customs clearance.
Process Optimization:
- Develop strategies to optimize logistics processes.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, automation in operations.
- Lead software solutions implementation for inventory management.
Risk Management and Compliance Audits:
- Conduct regular audits to identify compliance gaps.
- Develop contingency plans for customs-related issues.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate reports on operational performance, compliance status.
- Provide insights/recommendations to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
Proven experience in logistics operations
Knowledge of customs regulations
Proficiency in logistics management software
Excellent communication/problem-solving skills
