Senior Accountant

We are currently seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team.

As a Senior Accountant with us, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting activities for entities and accounts within our organization. This includes financial reporting, budget variance analysis, data input entries in the accounting system, general ledger maintenance, fixed asset accounting and reconciliation, as well as recording assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses accurately. You will also play a key role in preparing and filing VAT and CPT returns while ensuring compliance with group accounting guidelines.

In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, you will be involved in handling financial and tax audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditors' requests promptly. Your attention to detail will be crucial when posting purchase and sales invoices into ERP systems and preparing accurate management information reports on a timely basis. Collaboration with stakeholders from various departments will also be essential as you coordinate with shipping operations teams and traders while preparing profit and loss statements for trades.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a university education in accounting or finance along with an accountancy qualification such as CA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA/BBA-Finance. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, including at least 3 years within the Oil and Gas industry is required.
