As a Project Accountant at Electra Solutions, you will play a crucial role in supporting project managers with project documentation and cost allocation for all projects. Working closely with various teams including finance, estimation, sales, and operations, you will be responsible for calculating and analyzing project profitability. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring the accuracy of sales and cost data, as well as maintaining complete project documentation. Additionally, you will provide valuable insights and reporting to senior management on business commercial and cost analysis, inventory analysis, and investment appraisal.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the finance team while being seconded to projects. You will work hand-in-hand with the estimation team to support costing and analysis of project sales and costs. Your duties will also involve reviewing variances between actual material consumption, labor costs, subcontractor expenses, and estimations. Furthermore, you will conduct independent assessments of project gross margins across all projects and identify items that need to be capitalized. Your contributions will extend to preparing period analyses on non-moving inventory categories and assisting in pricing decisions by providing accurate project cost estimates.

We are looking for candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance along with part- or fully-qualified professional certification in Cost & Management accounting (ACMA, CMA or equivalent). Ideally, you should have 3-4 years of experience in a project accountant or cost accountant role within the manufacturing or events industry. Proficiency in Navision, MS Dynamics, Power BI, MS Office suite, Adobe DC Pro is essential for this position.
