Chief Accountant

We are currently seeking a Chief Accountant to join our team. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance & Operations, this role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records in compliance with UAE accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and compliance within an NGO or non-profit setting. Fluency in Arabic is essential for effective communication with regulatory bodies. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and MS Excel is required, along with strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Key responsibilities include overseeing accounting processes such as bookkeeping, VAT compliance, financial reporting & analysis, and operational support. The Chief Accountant will ensure timely submission of reports to regulatory bodies like MOCD and DCD while implementing internal controls to safeguard organizational assets. Additionally, this role will support budget preparation, donor reporting, payroll processing, and collaborate with other departments for smooth financial workflows.
