Imperium Commodity Search is working with a small-mid sized oil and energy trading and services business in Dubai to find a talented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success of the company. As a dynamic and commercially orientated individual with extensive international experience in the oil and distillates trading space, you will be responsible for overseeing the full financial functions of the trading business across various markets, including cash management, trade finance, budgeting, and financial reporting.
In this role, you will lead a team of accounting and trade finance professionals in Dubai and London, ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes. You will collaborate closely with the CEO and leadership team to manage financial elements of commercial and strategic deals, investments, and portfolio tasks. Additionally, you will be involved in overseeing trader PnL reviews, bonus structuring, compliance with national and international regulations, as well as developing structures for best practices within the business.
The ideal candidate for this position should have at least 10 years of PQE in a financial leadership role within an energy or oil trading business. You must possess excellent commercial acumen and a solid understanding of financial oversight nuances in an international trading environment. Experience in managing finance professionals, working with European and Middle Eastern banks on trade finance matters, strong accountancy skills/qualifications, knowledge of EMEA oil and energy trading markets, fluency in English (mandatory), and Russian language skills (preferred) are essential requirements for this role.
