We are currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join our team and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our accounting department while upholding corporate policies. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for analyzing balance sheets, cash flows, and P&L statements for abnormalities. This role also includes overseeing payroll processes and accounts payable functions. In addition, the Financial Accountant will act as the Chief Accountant in their absence.
Responsibilities of this role include monitoring daily in-house reports, assisting with daily operational checks before submission to management, performing surprise float counts with the General Cashier, reconciling outlet gratuities, and analyzing balance sheet accounts accurately and timely. The Financial Accountant will assist with month-end closing activities, preparation of journals and closing entries according to policies & procedures. Supervision of assigned finance sections to ensure compliance with policies & procedures is also a key responsibility.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance along with a CPA or CMA certification. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality sector is required. Proficiency in various systems such as PMS, POS, Purchasing, Payroll, Accounting Systems (preferably Springer Miller System), as well as Microsoft Office applications including Excel is essential. Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills, leadership qualities are also necessary for success in this role.
