As a Financial Accountant at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the accounting department while upholding corporate policies and standards. Your responsibilities will include analyzing balance sheets, cash flows, and P&L statements for abnormalities, overseeing the payroll process, managing accounts payable, and acting as the Chief Accountant during their absence.
In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring daily in-house reports, assisting in checking the daily operation package before routing it to the Director of Finance and General Manager, preparing outlet gratuity reconciliation, performing month-end closing activities with the Chief Accountant, verifying cash deposits and payroll accounts to avoid discrepancies, supervising assigned Finance sections for timely submission of reports, maintaining an updated Chart of Accounts in the Accounting System, communicating with public auditors for internal and external audits preparation, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations of the region where the hotel is located, and assisting in various finance functions as required.
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles. The ideal candidate should have experience in financial analysis and reporting within the hospitality industry. A degree in Accounting or Finance is required along with relevant certifications such as CPA or ACCA. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in accounting software are essential for this role.
