As a Restaurant Manager at Marriott International in the UAE, you will be responsible for overseeing lobby lounge daily shift operations and supervising staff members. Your role will involve promoting the lounge, menu planning, maintaining standards, assisting servers during peak periods, managing property liquor inventories and controls, and ensuring guest and employee satisfaction while staying within the operating budget. You will also play a key role in enforcing all legal obligations professionally and consistently while determining training needs to accomplish goals and implementing plans accordingly. Additionally, you will strengthen the food and beverage/culinary team by assisting in other outlets when necessary.

To excel in this position, you should possess a high school diploma or GED along with 4 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area. Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major combined with 2 years of relevant experience would also be considered suitable qualifications.

Your core work activities as a Restaurant Manager will include implementing beverage policies and procedures throughout the property; managing compliance with local, state, and Federal beverage laws; understanding beverage control metrics such as inventory management and cost controls; monitoring adherence to liquor control policies; participating in financial management through budget comprehension; managing departmental expenses to meet or exceed budgeted goals; ensuring compliance with Bar/Lounge standards; maintaining food handling and sanitation standards; managing inventories according to budget levels; establishing supply par levels; developing menus and promotions as needed; overseeing cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
