As a Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial health of their organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to strategic financial planning.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in audit and a proven track record of success in the construction/real estate/engineering/architecture/interior design sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Lead the financial planning and budgeting processes.
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
Monitor cash flow, financial transactions, and prepare financial reports.
Audit and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and accounting standards.
Coordinate and manage annual external audits.
Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
Strategic Financial Planning:
Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making.
Collaborate with executive leadership in developing financial strategies for business growth.
Conduct financial analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor finance and accounting teams.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
Ensure staff development and training to enhance team capabilities.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Proven background in audit with a strong understanding of financial controls and reporting.
Extensive knowledge of industry-specific financial practices and regulations.
Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
