Our esteemed establishment, The Beach House, a premier dining destination in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Restaurant General Manager to spearhead our team. As the Restaurant General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all facets of our beachfront venue. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests, maximizing profitability, and upholding the highest standards of food quality and service.
Your duties will encompass managing daily restaurant operations, covering both front-of-house and back-of-house management. You will be tasked with formulating and executing strategies to boost revenue, control costs effectively, and enhance overall performance. Additionally, nurturing a diverse team of staff is crucial; you will mentor them to foster a positive work environment while encouraging their professional growth.
Compliance forms an integral part of this role - you must ensure adherence to food safety regulations, health codes, and UAE labor laws. **Desired Candidate Profile**
We are seeking candidates who hold a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related fields. A minimum of 5 years' experience in restaurant management - preferably within high-end or beachfront dining establishments - is required. Demonstrable success in managing restaurant operations effectively while driving financial performance forward is crucial.
Strong leadership skills are paramount; you should possess the ability to motivate and develop your team members successfully. Excellent communication skills coupled with proficiency in utilizing restaurant management software and financial tools are highly desirable attributes for this role. Experience in menu planning, pricing strategies as well as inventory control is advantageous.
Candidates must hold Food Safety Certification along with knowledge of UAE food safety regulations and labor laws. Familiarity with Middle Eastern and international cuisines would be beneficial too. Flexibility regarding working hours (including evenings, weekends, holidays) is expected alongside fluency in English; knowledge of other languages such as Russian or German would be advantageous.
