Financial Analyst

As a Financial Analyst at Montage Gold, you will play a crucial role within our Corporate Finance Department by directly supporting the Financial Reporting and Planning Manager in various key areas. Your responsibilities will include contributing to the preparation of external financial reports, assisting with internal audits, managing external audits, coordinating month-end and year-end processes, and developing business processes to strengthen internal controls. You will also be involved in implementing consolidation tools like Workiva and ensuring that all financial statements adhere to IFRS standards.

To excel in this role, you must possess a university degree in business or finance with a focus on accounting along with an accounting designation (CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent). Additionally, you should have at least 5 years of progressive experience within finance including 2 years in the industry. Experience with external reporting requirements for publicly traded companies and extensive knowledge of IFRS technical accounting are essential. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, organizational abilities, and willingness to travel are also required.

• 5+ years progressive experience within finance
• 2+ year in industry
• Previous work experience at a “Big 4” accounting firm
• University degree in business, finance or related field with concentration in accounting
• Accounting designation (CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent)
• Experience with external reporting requirements for publicly traded companies

• Plan & perform internal audits and evaluate effectiveness of internal controls
