We are currently seeking a seasoned Financial Controller with 10-12 years of experience to join our finance team in the United Arab Emirates.

As the Financial Controller at myZoi, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all financial operations within our fast-paced fintech environment. Your responsibilities will include managing daily financial transactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and bank reconciliations. You will also be tasked with monitoring cash flow, preparing timely financial reports compliant with IFRS and UAE regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.

In addition to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring regulatory compliance with local tax regulations and reporting requirements set by authorities like the UAE Central Bank and SCA (Securities & Commodities Authority), you will lead budgeting processes, financial forecasting efforts, scenario planning activities, internal controls enhancement initiatives, risk management strategies implementation, as well as process optimization projects. Collaborating closely with other departments like HR, Operations, Legal to align business processes effectively is also a key aspect of this role.

The ideal candidate for this position should possess a minimum of 10-12 years of experience in finance and accounting with at least 5 years in a leadership role within fintech or startup environments. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; additional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are highly preferred. Proficiency in financial software like MS Dynamics or SAP along with advanced Excel skills is essential. Strong leadership abilities coupled with exceptional analytical thinking skills are crucial for success in this role.
