Financial Controller

We are currently seeking a Finance Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial performance through reporting and analysis, advising on purchasing costs, collaborating with sales teams to maintain margins aligned with business plans, managing warehouse inventory, ensuring statutory compliance, conducting regular reviews with the Operations team, addressing budget variances with corrective actions, and ensuring adherence to financial statutory requirements and audit processes.

The Finance Controller will be responsible for timely preparation of management accounts as per Group requirements on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. They will also handle closure of books of accounts, reconciliation of bank statements, debtors, creditors, and stock. Additionally, the role involves preparing yearly budgets, managing receivables and payables, fund management and cash flow preparation. The Finance Controller will liaise with auditors to finalize yearly statutory accounts and annual returns while ensuring control over costs against budget.

Ideal candidates for this position should hold a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with 8-10 years of experience in finance roles. UAE experience is mandatory while candidates from the agri commodity industry will be preferred. Required skills include analytical abilities, hedging strategies, risk management knowledge along with proficiency in platforms like Tally ERP Microsoft Navision-Pastel. Strong communication skills in English are essential as well as the ability to tailor feedback effectively and present information clearly.
