Manager Finance and Accounts (US GAAP and IFRS) – Manufacturing

Plantous, a prominent multinational manufacturing company based in the United Arab Emirates, is currently seeking a Manager Finance and Accounts with expertise in US GAAP and IFRS standards. As the Manager Finance and Accounts, your primary responsibility will be overseeing all aspects of financial reporting for the manufacturing company. This includes preparing and reviewing financial statements under both US GAAP and IFRS standards, leading month-end and year-end closing processes, analyzing financial data for strategic decision-making, and ensuring regulatory filings are submitted accurately and timely.

In addition to financial reporting, you will also manage day-to-day accounting operations such as general ledger functions, accounts payable/receivable processes, internal controls maintenance, journal entry approval, and compliance with accounting standards. You will collaborate with external auditors to facilitate audits smoothly, ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards like SOX regulations if applicable, and stay updated on any changes.

Furthermore, this role entails specific responsibilities related to manufacturing processes such as inventory management, cost accounting, production variances analysis, cost reduction identification, operational efficiency improvement in collaboration with production teams for accurate cost reporting. The ideal candidate should hold a CA or CPA or CWA certification with at least 5+ years of experience in financial reporting within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software along with advanced MS Excel skills are essential. Strong leadership skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently under pressure while meeting deadlines are crucial for success in this role. Excellent communication and analytical skills are also highly valued at Plantous.
