Our client, a prominent organization in the financial sector, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team in either Dubai or Abu Dhabi. This role plays a crucial part in overseeing various financial aspects such as inventory management, VAT compliance, cost accounting, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in forecasting and audits to maintain the organization's financial health and integrity.

As the Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include processing and reconciling freight invoices and cost of goods sold transactions, conducting monthly cost variance analysis, maintaining accurate inventory records, reconciling supplier statements, managing inventory in transit, overseeing stock forecasting, ensuring timely accruals and provisions, and preparing detailed financial reports. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring VAT compliance for consignment stock, supplier invoices, and JAFZA-designated zones by maintaining VAT documentation and collaborating with supply chain teams on compliance.

To excel in this role, you must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting along with at least 6 years of experience in accounting/finance. Strong cost accounting & forecasting skills are essential for this position as well as advanced Excel proficiency. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, analytical, detail-oriented with excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Arabic language is considered a plus.
