As a Senior Accountant at Shipa Delivery, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing day-to-day accounting functions within our organization. Your responsibilities will include managing Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL) operations to ensure accurate financial transactions and compliance with accounting policies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to provide valuable financial insights and support month-end and year-end closing processes.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the AR ledger by posting invoices, receipts, and adjustments accurately and promptly. Additionally, you will oversee the AP ledger to ensure correct coding of invoices, expenses, and vendor payments while collaborating with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies or payment issues efficiently. Furthermore, maintaining the GL for all financial transactions through daily journal entries and reconciliations will be essential tasks in ensuring the integrity of financial records.
Ideal candidates for this position should hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with proven experience in accounts receivable or general accounting roles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, is crucial for success in this role. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of invoicing procedures are also key qualifications required for this position. Experience within the logistics industry would be advantageous.
