As the Senior Accountant at Shipa, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing day-to-day accounting operations. This includes handling Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL) functions with precision and accuracy. You will be responsible for ensuring timely financial transactions, compliance with accounting policies, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. In this role, your responsibilities will include managing the AR ledger by posting invoices, receipts, and adjustments accurately and on time. You will monitor customer accounts to collect outstanding receivables within company terms while resolving any discrepancies promptly. Similarly, overseeing the AP ledger involves coding invoices correctly, approving payment runs in line with terms, collaborating with vendors to resolve issues efficiently, and ensuring proper recording of all payables during closing processes. Additionally, maintaining the GL for all financial transactions through journal entries posting and reconciliations is vital for accurate financial reporting.

To qualify for this position at Shipa, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance along with proven experience in receivables or accounting roles within a similar industry. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail are essential for success in this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools is required, especially Excel skills. Knowledge of EPG licensing requirements, invoicing procedures, commercial billing terms interpretation, as well as tax regulations compliance are highly valued attributes.

• Proven experience in a receivables or accounting role
