Senior Accountant

Smiths Group, a renowned company in the United Arab Emirates, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team and support Sales and Aftermarket Commercial activities. As a Senior Accountant at Smiths Group, you will work under the guidance of the Sub Regional Financial Controller and Finance Manager. Your primary responsibility will be leading Financial Planning & Analysis activities for Sales and Aftermarket operations. This includes conducting GL reviews for overheads & Other costs based on trend analysis, bi-weekly forecasting, weekly reporting of Orders and Sales, monthly Profit and Loss variance analysis, financial analysis of high-value projects, preparation of annual budgets and quarterly rolling forecasts.

Additionally, you will collaborate with the AR accountant on Customer cash collection, prepare AR Overdue performance reports, support month-end close processes including balance sheet reconciliation, participate in process improvements and system enhancements. You will also be actively involved in testing and ensuring timely closures with internal & external auditors. Your role will involve providing in-depth financial analysis to support business decisions and maintaining strong credit control to facilitate cash collections effectively.

• Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or finance role
