Stantec, a leading global engineering and design firm, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor specializing in Drainage & Water Networks to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Quantity Surveyor at Stantec, you will play a crucial role in the technical delivery of various projects. Your responsibilities will include cost planning, quantity take-off, bill of quantities preparation, tender and contract document production, report writing, claim evaluation/negotiation, post-contract administration, valuation of variations, agreement of new rates, Taking Over Certificates issuance, Defects Liability management. You will also provide assistance to the Resident Engineer on commercial matters and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
In addition to your technical duties, you will collaborate closely with engineers to solve project design problems and perform basic design calculations as needed. Working under the guidance of the Technical Lead, you will contribute to the overall success of our projects through accurate measurement of variations, production and agreement of final accounts and additional cost claims. Your ability to manage sub-contractors effectively and ensure timely receipt of income from interim applications will be crucial to the financial health of our projects.
