The Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI) is a distinguished international organization committed to addressing intricate global challenges through innovation, collaboration, and enhanced governance. Specializing in risk management, disaster risk reduction, and sustainable development, GCRI employs Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) principles alongside cutting-edge technologies and strategic multilateral partnerships to deliver impactful solutions for a resilient and sustainable future. As an organization holding Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and actively participating in various global networks, GCRI is dedicated to fostering regional alignment with its overarching global strategies through National Working Groups (NWGs) in over 120 countries.

We are currently seeking a visionary Regional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our operations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). In this role, you will be responsible for establishing the business foundation, launching key RRI streams, and driving impactful programs tailored to the regional context. Reporting directly to the Global Stewardship Board, you will play a crucial role in building strategic partnerships, mobilizing resources, and ensuring successful initiative execution that aligns with both GCRI's mission and the innovative landscape of the UAE. We are looking for a trailblazer with expertise in innovation, governance, sustainable development who can inspire collaboration across diverse sectors.

Key responsibilities include developing a strategic roadmap for establishing GCRI's presence in the UAE, driving RRI initiatives tailored to regional priorities, forging high-impact partnerships with various stakeholders, overseeing program design and quality assurance measures. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of executive leadership experience within sustainability or innovation-focused organizations. A proven track record of organizational establishment, resource mobilization, and partnership building is essential. Additionally, familiarity with global frameworks such as UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), disaster risk reduction frameworks is required.
