Our client, a leading player in the energy trading industry based in the United Arab Emirates, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Oil Cargo Trading Operations Manager to join their dynamic team. As the Senior Oil Cargo Trading Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all post-deal trading activities to ensure seamless contract execution. Your role will involve staying abreast of commercial and market information to provide timely updates to the trading team. Building and managing operational relationships with suppliers, receivers, ship owners, brokers, agents, terminal operators, customs officials, and other service providers will be crucial to your success in this role. Additionally, you will coordinate logistics and documentary requirements with each counterparty to facilitate smooth transactions.
You will also play a key role in drafting and negotiating contracts and letters of credit (LCs), reviewing spot deal recaps before finalizing deals to mitigate operational risks, and managing vessel operations such as vetting vessels, voyage/discharge orders, stowage plans, letters of indemnity (LOIs), and freight payments. Your expertise in cargo operations including contractual nominations, documentary instructions, inspections, storage management will be invaluable in ensuring operational efficiencies and minimizing risks. Moreover, you will be responsible for maintaining financial security by reviewing LCs, invoicing in line with payment terms ensuring timely issuance and receipt while focusing on demurrage mitigation.
