As the Assistant Accountant at Uni-Fuels, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations. Your responsibilities will include processing invoices and managing accounts payable by verifying trade invoices for accuracy and compliance with contractual terms. You will also generate invoices for customers based on contracts and agreements while monitoring bank account movements for reconciliation purposes. Additionally, you will assist in tax compliance activities such as VAT returns preparation and ensure adherence to accounting standards and local tax laws.
Furthermore, you will contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing reports and financial statements accurately and on time. Your role will also involve supporting audits by providing necessary documentation and schedules. In addition to these core duties, you will provide general administrative support to the finance team as needed and handle ad-hoc tasks like reports and analyses. The ideal candidate should hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, possess prior experience in accounting within the bunkering or oil industry, be familiar with industry-specific accounting standards, proficient in accounting software like Dynamics 365 Business Central, and have strong MS Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
