Our client, a newly established family office in the United Arab Emirates, is seeking an Investment Manager to spearhead the development of their institutionalized office. As their inaugural hire, you will play a pivotal role in crafting investment strategies alongside the family members and driving the growth of the business. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in GCC public equities and private markets, showcasing expertise in portfolio management, asset allocation, and due diligence.
As the Investment Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing and managing the diversified investment portfolio of the family office across various asset classes such as equities, fixed income, private equity, real estate, and alternative investments. Your responsibilities will include monitoring portfolio performance, making necessary adjustments based on market conditions and investment objectives, and executing long-term investment strategies aligned with the family's financial goals and risk tolerance. Additionally, you will be tasked with identifying and evaluating new investment opportunities within private equity, venture capital, and real estate sectors while maintaining relationships with external advisors and fund managers to source potential opportunities.
To qualify for this role, candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. A CFA or MBA qualification is preferred. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of experience in investment management focusing on GCC public equities and private markets. Prior experience working within a family office environment would be advantageous. It is essential that candidates demonstrate compliance with the family office’s governance framework as well as adherence to relevant legal and regulatory standards.
