As a Mechanical Engineer at Westlakes Recruit, your primary responsibility will be to supervise and manage mechanical maintenance activities within the plant. This includes overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, planning shutdowns effectively, and coordinating overhauling work activities. Your role will involve organizing maintenance schedules, troubleshooting machinery issues, and implementing modifications in alignment with overall maintenance plans. Adherence to HSE guidelines and quality standards is essential to ensure optimal plant availability and machine reliability.
Key Accountabilities include monitoring mechanical maintenance operations closely to guarantee the safe and efficient application of procedures. You will be responsible for documenting all maintenance activities accurately in SAP, including logging faults, repair methods used, as well as tracking time spent on repairs and materials utilized. In addition, you must respond promptly to emergency breakdowns by taking immediate corrective actions to minimize downtime effectively. By fostering a culture of condition-based preventive maintenance through root cause analyses and troubleshooting techniques, you will contribute significantly to enhancing operational efficiency.
