Director of Engineering

Abercorn Sinclair is thrilled to collaborate with Stanelco RF Technologies in their search for an Engineering Director. Located in Marchwood, Southampton, Stanelco RF Technologies is a division of Biome Technologies plc. Their team specializes in creating custom engineering solutions for various industries utilizing induction heating and dielectric welding systems, focusing on high-frequency RF technologies. Projects range from £50k to £500k and involve RF heating systems, control systems, and mechanical handling solutions with delivery timelines of 3 to 12 months.

The Engineering Director will report to the Managing Director and oversee all engineering projects while leading a small multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include contributing to the business strategy, leading the design and manufacture of industrial equipment, providing technical oversight across multiple engineering disciplines, ensuring product quality and compliance standards are met, driving innovation, building relationships with customers and partners globally, supporting new business proposals, participating in commissioning processes, and traveling internationally as needed.

Qualified candidates should have extensive experience in industrial engineering covering power conversion systems, industrial automation, thermal management systems, materials science, electronic control systems among others. Experience in electrical systems engineering and familiarity with RF technology applications are advantageous. Leadership experience is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have an HND/Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with several years of experience developing industrial process equipment.
