We are currently looking for a Head of Communications to join our team on a 9 to 12 months FTC basis.
As the Head of Communications, you will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 25 communications professionals spread across the UK. Reporting directly to the People Director and serving as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will act as a trusted advisor to our divisional CEO and other senior stakeholders on all matters related to communication, engagement, and reputation management. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in high-profile government or public sector settings, with expertise in delivering communications within complex organizations.
Key responsibilities include ensuring alignment across internal and external communications teams, leading major campaigns to drive external engagement and enhance organizational reputation, offering expert counsel on communications strategies to senior leadership, developing strong narratives aligned with organizational values, facilitating executive engagement to drive alignment on strategic priorities, overseeing client communications planning and delivery, driving employee engagement initiatives to support an inclusive culture, managing reputational risks through proactive strategies during crises or scrutiny periods, inspiring and leading a national team of communications professionals while upholding high standards of delivery.
