Head of Engineering

Futureheads Recruitment | B Corp™ is excited to partner with an established edtech company in the UK, seeking a dynamic Head of Engineering for an initial 3-6 month remote-first contract. While the role allows for UK-wide flexibility, occasional travel to a northern office location will be required (with expenses covered). As the Head of Engineering, you will collaborate closely with the head of product to inspire and lead the existing team towards positive change through your technical expertise and coaching skills.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong background in software and data architecture, along with proven experience in coaching engineering teams and driving performance improvement. You should be well-versed in modern JavaScript technologies such as React, Node, Typescript, and AWS (Microservices/Serverless), although day-to-day coding is not expected. Previous exposure to working within a regulated b2b SaaS environment is highly desirable for this position.

• A proven track record coaching engineering teams and turning around performance.
• Solid technical architecture understanding and capability.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript stack – React, Node, Typescript, AWS (Microservices/Serverless). Not writing code day to day.
• Experience having worked in an established b2b SaaS business, preferably in a highly regulated sector.
