We are currently seeking a dynamic and ambitious Managing Director to lead our client's continued growth and success. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company while driving strategic growth initiatives in collaboration with the senior leadership team. As Managing Director, you will play a pivotal role in setting the company's vision, ensuring operational excellence, and cultivating a culture of innovation to achieve business objectives and drive sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer relationships to maintain profitability.
- Develop new business opportunities and meet annual budget expectations.
- Collaborate with General Managers to grow the business segment.
- Execute company strategy to exceed revenue growth targets.
- Direct manufacturing, installation, and commercial operations.
- Identify critical skill sets and create succession plans.
- Drive continuous improvement activities for waste reduction and cost optimization.
- Stay updated on industry trends to ensure goals are met.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or manufacturing.
- Minimum 5 years experience as a General Manager with full P&L responsibility.
- Proven track record of driving top-line growth and EBITA performance improvement.
- Previous director-level experience in engineering or manufacturing.
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on business growth and profitability.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire diverse teams.
This Engineering Managing Director opportunity offers a competitive salary ranging from £75,000 to £125,000 depending on experience. The role is based in Worcester but is easily commutable from Birmingham, Gloucester, Redditch, Malvern, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, and Droitwich.
