Watton Hall, in partnership with a top-tier Contract Research Organization (CRO) in Europe, is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as the Head of Statistics. At Watton Hall, we are committed to delivering high-quality statistical methodologies and insights across all phases of clinical trials. As the Head of Statistics, you will play a pivotal role in leading our statistical function, collaborating with key stakeholders, and providing strategic guidance on statistical approaches for regulatory submissions and client projects.
In this role, your responsibilities will include leading, mentoring, and managing a team of statisticians and data scientists to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture. You will provide strategic statistical input into trial designs, guide statistical strategies for regulatory submissions, ensure the integrity and accuracy of statistical analyses throughout clinical trials, and serve as the primary point of contact for statistical matters with clients. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards and leading efforts to adopt cutting-edge statistical tools and technologies.
To be successful in this position, you must have a Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics or a related field. You should have extensive experience in the CRO industry with leadership responsibilities, a proven track record of managing multiple clinical trials simultaneously, and in-depth knowledge of statistical software such as SAS or R. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements from FDA, EMA, ICH among others is essential along with exceptional leadership skills and effective communication abilities.
