We are currently seeking a Senior Associate Director, Lead in Estate & Gift Planning to join our dynamic team.
As the Senior Associate Director, Lead in Estate & Gift Planning at The Carter Center, you will play a crucial role in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting planned gifts to support our organization's impactful work. Reporting to the Director of Individual Giving, you will be responsible for developing strategies, managing donor relations, drafting correspondence, overseeing events and budgets. This position involves significant donor interaction, staff supervision, and occasional travel that may include Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT).
In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and implement marketing strategies for new and existing programs at The Carter Center. You will manage fundraising efforts for domestic and international projects that require short and long-term donor funding from foundations, corporations, governments (foreign and U.S.), multilateral organizations, as well as individuals. Additionally, you will supervise a team of development staff responsible for fundraising activities while working closely with program directors to design strategies for resource mobilization. Strong leadership skills are essential as you lead fundraising trips both domestically and internationally.
If you have a bachelor's degree coupled with eight years of experience in fundraising or related fields (or an equivalent combination of education and experience), we encourage you to apply. A master's degree with ten years of fundraising experience is preferred along with five years of planned giving experience. Demonstrated donor-centric focus and expertise in program budget development are highly valued qualities in potential candidates. Proficiency in technology tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems is essential for success in this role.
