Global Financial Controller

Oscar de la Renta is hiring a Global Financial Controller with related luxury fashion or retail background. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role manages domestic and international accounting and financial review and reporting for the company. This includes 6 retail stores (4 US, London, Paris), ecommerce, wholesale departments, international inventory/logistics and corporate cost centers. This position full time in person (5 days per week) and is based in our midtown Manhattan corporate office.


Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Direct ownership, oversight and responsibility for all accounting operational functions (domestic and international). International, multicurrency, and intercompany accounting experience required
Includes managing a team of 8 direct reports in all accounting functions (AR, AP, staff accountants)
Manage accounting and tax processes on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis to ensure books of accounts are kept up to date, and accurate and closed in a timely manner, as directed by CFO
Manage vendor and customer relationships and ensure optimization of working capital
Analyze results and variances from the budget and monthly forecast
Develop and enhance internal controls of business processes
Monthly, Quarterly and Year-End reports according to company guidelines
Prepare cash flow forecasts with a strong focus on inventory/working capital needs and capital expenditures
Prepare materials for Board of Directors and investors


Experience/Qualifications:

College Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Business Administration
Minimum 7-10 years of hands-on experience in business management, accounting, financial control within a multi-divisional environment, and preferably in retail or fashion
Internal financial audit skills
Extensive experience in accounting systems. ERP migration and implementation experience preferred
Extensive knowledge of Excel (V-Lookup, Pivot, etc.)
Strong verbal and written communication
Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
Prior experience managing a team required
CPA a plus
