Airswift, a leading provider of natural gas compression equipment and services to global clients in the Oil & Gas, Power, Transportation, and Marine sectors, is currently seeking a dedicated Automation Engineering Manager. This role involves leading the automation team, collaborating with the broader engineering organization, and driving innovation in control systems. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of electrical, controls, and automation engineering for engines and compressors while supporting the company's strategic goal of expanding its automation business.
As an Automation Engineering Manager at Airswift, you will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing team of engineers to address current and future business needs. You will develop and implement engineering standards, processes, and best practices to enhance system reliability, efficiency, and scalability. Working closely with the Vice President of Engineering and other leadership members, you will align the automation strategy with organizational goals focusing on growth, innovation, and operational excellence. Additionally, you will recruit talent to meet the demands of the expanding automation business while developing a roadmap for growth through exploring new technologies and market opportunities.
The ideal candidate for this position should hold a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering with over 10 years of experience in electrical controls and automation engineering. Leadership experience of at least 2 years is required along with proven expertise in engines, compressors or related industrial equipment. Proficiency in designing PLCs SCADA HMI systems such as Allen-Bradley Siemens Modicon is essential along with strong knowledge of hardware software design for control systems. Familiarity with industry standards like IEC NEC ISA is also necessary demonstrating strong troubleshooting skills for electrical control systems.
