As the Director of Engineering at Allied Resources, you will play a crucial role in leading our capital engineering team. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing annual capital investments exceeding $100M across multiple facilities to drive operational improvements and long-term growth. You will work closely with key stakeholders to align capital strategies with business objectives, ensuring successful project execution from scoping to completion.
In this role, you will lead and coordinate various capital projects, including engineering, growth, and maintenance initiatives across our facilities. You will oversee all project planning stages such as budgeting, scheduling, estimating, procurement, and construction to support an approved capital plan. Collaboration with site leaders is essential to identify synergies and allocate resources effectively for project execution. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and forecasting capital expenditures while maintaining regular communication with Operations and Senior Leadership. Upholding safety policies within engineering projects by conducting safety audits and promoting a safety-first culture will also be a key aspect of your role.
The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a preference for Chemical Engineering. You should have at least 10 years of experience in capital project management within a manufacturing or industrial setting. A Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification or equivalent experience in productivity and continuous improvement projects is highly desirable.
