Amtec Inc. is a leading company in the energy industry, committed to reducing costs and improving efficiency through innovative projects. We are currently seeking a Director of Engineering to join our Baton Rouge Management/Operations team. As a key technical lead for the company, you will report directly to the General Manager and have regular visibility and direct access to various leadership members in our flat organizational structure.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience and the ability to perform the duties of the Director of Engineering. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and evaluating projects aimed at reducing energy costs and enhancing efficiency during construction, remodeling, or operational phases. You will also be responsible for developing capital expenditure plans for facilities, managing key performance indicators for plant operations, reviewing utility system records, performing Title V Air Permit reporting, providing engineering support to the operations team, and managing small capital projects at our Baton Rouge (NOLA) facility.
Additionally, you will work closely with the operations team to troubleshoot adverse system conditions, provide engineering design support for projects at facilities, optimize existing systems, offer technical guidance on equipment/materials ordering and maintenance procedures. The successful candidate will be able to provide guidance on facility operating systems while ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
