Engineering Manager

Automation & Modular Components (AMC), a leading manufacturer of material handling systems and solutions globally, is seeking an Engineering Manager to join their team in Davisburg, MI. The Engineering Manager will lead a team of 12 individuals and report directly to the president of AMC. Responsibilities include setting goals for the mechanical & controls engineering team, developing new products through innovative design processes, providing technical support across departments and to customers, managing product development projects from inception to completion while adhering to budget constraints and timelines. The successful candidate will also be responsible for improving margins through product evaluation and simplification while supporting post-shop functions related to spare parts and service.

To excel in this role, candidates should possess a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field along with demonstrated experience in engineering management. Strong expertise in mechanical products design, automated assembly & test solutions, material handling systems, electrical control systems is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and 2D/3D design software is essential. Additionally, practical knowledge of process engineering principles and problem-solving skills are necessary for success.
