As the Director of Engineering & EHS, you will oversee all aspects of environmental, health, safety, and engineering operations at our site. Your responsibilities include ensuring compliance with global and local regulations, executing engineering projects effectively, maintaining utilities and facilities for safety and productivity, managing OT/IT infrastructure cybersecurity compliance, and overseeing maintenance systems to support production needs.
To excel in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of manufacturing technology, project management standards, capital systems management practices, as well as EHS corporate standards. You will be required to translate business strategies into achievable objectives for Engineering and EHS while developing innovative solutions that meet safety requirements within set timelines and budgets.
Key responsibilities include leading a team of 20-50 professionals in EHS and Engineering functions to achieve site objectives through vision setting, coaching for execution excellence, staffing decisions, career coaching opportunities. You will also manage site safety by ensuring governance systems are in place to meet regulatory standards while fostering a safety culture among all employees. Additionally, you will lead capital project teams towards successful project delivery meeting cost schedules along with supporting automation/OT/IT management for productivity goals.
We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical), 10 years of experience in Engineering or Safety Leadership roles with Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma knowledge. Strong leadership skills are essential along with excellent communication abilities for multicultural environments. A global mindset coupled with entrepreneurship skills will be highly valued along with proficiency in English communication.
