The successful candidate will play a crucial role in establishing and growing the new plant location from scratch while receiving support from the group to ensure success.
As the inaugural hire for this area, the Greenfield Plant Manager will oversee construction progress of the plant, lead team hiring efforts, and establish key procedures and KPIs for the local organization. This position requires proven leadership experience, strong negotiation skills on a medium-to-large scale, and a solid understanding of the local market landscape. The ideal candidate must have early-stage project management and team-building experience to effectively grow the location right from its inception. After the first year, full autonomy will be granted to this resourceful, driven individual who can take charge as a hands-on team leader with a track record of successfully leading new initiatives and building teams from scratch.
Key responsibilities include overseeing construction activities in collaboration with contractors, setting up legal and administrative support networks for operations establishment, recruiting production and administrative staff based on business vision and strategy, developing business processes with knowledge transfer from Europe to the U.S., and expanding relationships with local customers to increase market presence. The successful candidate will possess at least 6 years of leadership experience in technical management across various business functions ideally within high-voltage products or other complex industrial sectors. Experience in new development construction of plants combined with familiarity within Georgia's professional network is preferred.
