Our client, an international group specializing in advanced technical solutions for industrial and infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Greenfield Plant Manager to join their team. Headquartered in Europe, our client has a global presence with a focus on innovation and quality. As the inaugural hire in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area, this individual will oversee construction progress of the plant, support team hiring, and establish key procedures and KPIs for the local organization. This role offers full autonomy after the first year, making it ideal for a resourceful, driven leader with experience in start-up environments.
The Greenfield Plant Manager will collaborate with construction companies to ensure alignment with requirements and budget while leading the establishment of operations and recruiting production and administrative staff. They will develop business processes, facilitate knowledge transfer from Europe to the U.S., and build relationships with local customers to expand market presence. The successful candidate must have at least 6 years of leadership experience, be well-connected within the power systems or complex industrial manufacturing industry, and possess familiarity with Georgia's professional network to support business expansion.
Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, have experience overseeing multiple business functions as a technical manager, and preferably have exposure to high-voltage products or other complex industrial sectors. Knowledge of new development construction of plants and early-stage facility management is essential. Candidates should also demonstrate success managing project timelines on set budgets and understand the process of obtaining licenses/permits related to building development and plant management operations. A long-term orientation and eagerness to grow within the organization are crucial for this role.
