We are currently seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our US Research and Development (R&D) engineering team. Reporting directly to this role will be RF/Systems Engineering, Embedded Software, Mechanical Engineering, and Engineering Project Management teams. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the engineering strategy, driving product innovation, and ensuring successful development of our antenna systems while working closely with the global R&D team. This position requires strong technical expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and collaboration within the team.

Key responsibilities for this role include developing and executing the engineering strategy in alignment with business goals, providing technical leadership to engineers across various disciplines, managing project timelines and resources for product development while ensuring adherence to quality standards. The Director of Engineering will also oversee high-level technical oversight for advanced designs of antenna systems focusing on RF, Systems, and Software expertise. Additionally, this role involves leading and mentoring the engineering team to foster innovation while continuously improving processes.

Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred), proven experience in leadership roles within an engineering environment preferably in satellite communications or related industries. Candidates must have demonstrated ability to drive innovation, manage complex projects effectively while leading high-performing teams. Due to work within defense and government sectors candidates must be U.S. citizens or hold valid green cards. Strong financial acumen along with experience managing budgets is required as well as willingness to travel internationally occasionally.
