Our mission is to bridge the resource awareness gap and create a supportive community where no one faces the challenges of motherhood alone. We are seeking a passionate Communications Manager (Volunteer/Internship) to join our team.

As the Communications Manager, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission by developing and executing effective communication strategies that support outreach, fundraising, and partnership efforts. Your responsibilities will include managing contact lists, leading outreach for research surveys, supporting fundraising initiatives, and collaborating with various departments to ensure our messaging resonates with target audiences. Additionally, you will lead a small team of communications volunteers and interns to maintain consistent communication across all channels.

This remote volunteer position requires proficiency in coordinating work via Google Meet, email, and Slack. The ideal candidate should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and familiarity with Google Workspace. Candidates pursuing or holding a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related fields are preferred. This position offers flexible scheduling options, college credit opportunities, and valuable resume-building experience.

Key Job Requirements:
  • Completed or pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field preferred
  • Interest or experience in communications, outreach, or public relations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Slack and Notion (or willingness to learn)
  • Availability to attend bi-weekly leadership meetings
  • Availability to attend bi-weekly Organization Sync-Up meetings
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Build and manage lists of contacts for outreach
  • Spearhead outreach efforts for research surveys, fundraising initiatives, and partnership opportunities
  • Develop and implement communication strategies to support the organization’s goals and campaigns
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of 1-3 communications volunteers and interns
